Sugar addicts. Lol. Just for the record I am healthy, not overweight, but i feel i could do better but this DAMN sweet tooth. Must have something sweet at least every other day! I simply can't give it up. Anyone who has, what does it feel like? I'll bet you feel a big difference in your body, right?

It's a chemical, physiological addiction. Truly no different than heroin. Obviously not as dire, but an addiction all the same. You have to go many days to "detox" to get the cravings out of your system, and I promise it's worth it. Too many sugars are rubbish for your mind and body.

This is very, very interesting and enlightening. What you're feeling about "needing" sugar is no mystery.

Having something sweet every other day is fine (not a whole cake mind). If you are a healthy weight and fit why not? The more you obsess over it the more you’ll want it.

I did, it’s been over a year now with only a couple (seriously; count them on one hand) of slip ups. I was a genuine addict always thinking about the next fix, at no point ever was one of anything ever enough. Now I have none of anything and just feel fine, sated maybe?
I knew I had a problem and read a book by Allen Carr; totally changed my mindset.
I can honestly say life is just easier now.

Nothing wrong with having a treat every other day... You can have a perfectly healthy diet and a treat here and there.

It doesn't help that about 3 years ago i actually did give up all forms of sugar (and carbs and other stuff, lol) for a month and i felt AMAZING! Would love to feel that way again but i admit what a bland month it was! For starters i had no social life because that meant drinking. For that entire month i lived on chicken/fish or meat for veg or salad, water, selected fruits, tea with no sugar or milk. That was it. My skin glowed and i felt energised

I meant to say 'with veg or salad'
