How long will it take for nightmare neighbour to be evicted?

Our nightmare neighbour has had ‘notice to quit’ served by the housing association. This was served on the 25th July. How long will it take to actually get them out of the property? I can’t see them leaving by the date on the notice.

I don’t want to go into too much detail about what they’ve done as it would be outing but it’s very serious antisocial behaviour and at least 5 breaches of tenancy including by-passing the electricity. They are still on a starter tenancy.

How long does eviction take for non-compliant tenants? Has anybody been in similar circumstances with awful neighbours?

as a private landlord - (your going to hate me!)with a section 21 it took 5/6 months to eviction - I don't know much about section 8's & whether HA would go to high court to get quicker removal - I know section 8's are more complicated

Quite a few months I'm afraid. But at least the process has started.

Thank you. It’s a shame it takes so long. We’re moving at the end of this month anyway, but I’m so sad for the other neighbours in the street who mostly own their homes and have done for 20 years in a lot of cases.
