How do I remove Vaseline grease stains from my dress?

So fucked off right now at my youngest witch. Another thing to add to the list of things she fucking destroys around the house but that’s a whole other thread.

How do I remove these stains? It’s vaseline on a jersey dress that I only wore once. It’s right on the front so shows clearly. I’ve washed it once.

Smother them in talc both sides and wash as normal. I've done this successfully with oil before

Try rubbing washing up liquid into the stain before washing it with bio powder

Crunchymum · 04/08/2019 16:38

I manage to get stains out by rubbing some liquid (we use washing liquid in a cap) directly on the stains.

Must be bio though.

Washing up liquid.

Bluebluered · 04/08/2019 16:49

I’m worried the colour of the affected area will fade. Will try washing up liquid now..hopefully it hasn’t set in after washing it already.

Honestly..I thought having the brats get passed age 3/4/5 will mean no more yogurt and weetabix and other shit on my clothes. But no...mine have taken it up to the next level.

I use something called Ace for grease stains, it works with any type of oil so it should be OK with Vaseline I think - it comes in a turquoise tall plastic bottle about £2 on the shelf with Oxyclean type of products.

Eucalyptus oil is good at shifting grease, although you'll have to re-wash the dress afterwards or you'll smell like a Locket.

Dr Beckmann oil remover - had so much success on old washed in grease and oil with this stuff!

Bluebluered · 04/08/2019 16:56

Ok, taking note of all these suggestions. I’m going with the washing up liquid right now and rubbing it in. If it doesn’t work then I’ll have to go and buy something..thank you all

Elbow Grease spray is really good on stains, it's yellow you can get it from Savers and those kinds of places. It is great on greasy stains and marks, got oil off of some of DDs leggings and various grime marks on the front door.

Been trying to get on here all morning! To show you this: and to say thank you! Not completely completely disappeared, but disappeared enough to be able to wear it again!

thank you wise MNetters 🙏😊
