When did you put your baby in the seat unit?

What age did you move your little one from the carrycot or newborn cocoon/insert to the pushchair seat unit?

5 months after he outgrew the carry cot

8 months, but the carry cot was huge, and had a back support you could raise so the child could sit up.

About 7 months, when she cried when she couldn’t see me (when flat in the bassinet)

4 months because she was utterly miserable being lay flat in her carrycot and every trip was a nightmare. As soon as she went into the seat unit she loved it, it was on the half recline but she could see and was a happy baby.

3 months. She had silent reflux and couldn't lie flat. We went from a fifteen minute spin around the block with her screaming, purely so I could get out of the house, to going for lovely long walks by the sea. Revelation.

She was a good big sturdy baby with excellent head control though.

If you look at the instructions for travel systems in the USA, they all talk about using the basinette for 3 months rather than 6 like here. Presume the regulations are different for some reason.

3 months. Both mine were very long babies and outgrew the carrycot very quickly. They were both much happier in the seat too and liked being able to see more

7 months, could of gone a bit longer but I went back to the single pushchair so was easier to have the pushchair incase I wanted to put the toddler in and baby in sling.
