Birthday present ideas for mother in law

MIL is early 70s, still quite active but no hobbies or interests. Doesn’t like pampering stuff / facials as reacts to stuff. Any suggestions for a birthday present please?

Theatre tickets/vouchers?

Take her out for the day - somewhere/something she's interested in, with a nice lunch. Does she have some favourite foods? A hamper with some goodies in.

Family photo shoot if you don't all get together very often
Nice handbag
Wine tasting tour

Get your DH to sort it - she's his mum therefore his responsibility?

Well the DP has returned from Homesense with a basket of random bits (hand lotion, body creams, candles - all scented) and it cost £45!!!! So 45 quid spent on crap she won’t use (too scented). That’s why I try to think of options but he jumped in and got that pile of nonsense.
