Will I get food poisoning?

I've been away for a few days. When I got back I pulled some chicken out of the freezer and cooked it with some veg I'd picked up on the way home. I realised later this evening that the fridge door was slightly open. I haven't opened fridge today so it must have been left open while I was away. It's a combined fridge/freezer. Will a slightly open fridge raise freezer temp? Could I get food poisoning?

Was the chicken still frozen when you took it out?

Seemed to be. I didn't touch it. Just tipped it out! I hate touching raw meat! I seem to be ok so far so fingers crossed!

The chicken might have been OK or it might have had some bacteria in it. It isn't automatic that you'd get food poisoning from anything . Just wait and see - if you're all right now it's probably OK.

The freezer temp won't be affected by the fridge door having been left open. Stuff in the fridge, on the other hand, may need binning.
