Doctor's appointment later - anything I should ask specifically?

Have NC for this, and apologies for the vague title. Have also posted in Chat for traffic. Also apologies for length. Gin on me if you manage to get through it Gin

I have been hammered the last six weeks or so with throat infections / cold symptoms. To the point where one clears up, the next one follows less than a week later. This is rare for me - never been prone to either throat issues or colds in my life. No other medical issues, but do have hormonal imbalances. For full disclosure, am fairly overweight (but working on it).

Today is my fourth trip to the doctor's in the last six or seven weeks.
First trip was due to a nasty bout of tonsillitis which had me on my knees. Course of ABs duly given and cleared infection up... until a week later, when it seemed to come back. Struggled on for about a week with this second bout, treating with OTCs as best I could. Eventually advised by the pharmacist to go to the GP.
Second visit to GP, swab of tonsils was taken and another dose of ABs prescribed. GP then rang me back the next day to say swab was positive for strep(?) bacteria, so added a 5 day course of ABs on top to existing 5 days given. GP asked I go back to visit Practice Nurse at finish of course of ABs.
Trip yesterday to the Practice Nurse. Checked throat and said right tonsil still enlarged. Left back to normal size. Blood pressure also elevated (144 / 93, I think - no history of high blood pressure, never had any issues before). Nurse wanted me to see a doctor, so arranged for me to come back this evening.

I had a nosy at my throat myself earlier, and the right one is definitely significantly larger than my left. I can't even see my left tonsil, but the right one takes up most of the back of my throat on that side. It also looks to have small holes in it, although no apparent redness (to my eye, anyway). Other symptoms are sharp pain on left side of my chest, around my breast area, and a dry cough (which has only developed in the last fortnight). Perhaps a very mild fever, but clammy more than anything.

Any ideas what I should expect from the GP later on and anything I should specifically be asking or requesting? I've managed to plow on with work throughout, but I'm exhausted.

Thank you if you managed to get through it.
Feel free to leave your drinks order!
