Holiday let owners: do you really want honest feedback from guests?

Morning, we're having a pretty crappy holiday due to poor accommodation. It's smelly, scruffy, feels unclean. No mattress protectors, old brown towels provided etc. Curtains all stained. Crockery and cutlery dirty. Would you want feedback on this? The owner is obviously taking the cash but not investing anything back in.

I've written an email. Should I wait til we've left to send it? There's nothing they could rectify at this point for us. I'm a bit worried that they might take our hefty damage deposit if I say anything.

I also don't want any agro from this but feel it only fair to the owner and future guests.

I wouldn't send it until you leave. You would be better off putting the review on trip advisor.

I'm going to put it on there too, but thought it only fair to email the owner directly too. There are only 3 reviews on trip advisor that are all 5 star and glowing about the location. Can owners delete bad reviews?
