My 20 yo son bought me flowers so happy

Just that really
I went to see him & DC2 (18) yesterday - they house share (it’s complicated)
He bought me flowers. My heart just swelled .
We all cooked together
Washed up together
Put their washing out together
We discussed 1st anniversary presents (girlfriend) . They had never heard of paper, cotton , wood etc so life lesson there .

It took me 2 & 1/2 hours to get home 40 miles (trains cancelled)

It was so worth it

How nice - I hope my two boys will be like that in 10 yrs time - something to counter the infuriating people who tell me my boys will desert me when they are older and that’s why girls are so much better

@SometimesItRains - honestly my 2 boys come up behind me & hug me.
The flowers were completely off the cuff. Every penny to a 20 yo is precious.
I walked those flowers home last night so proud.
Boys / girls they’re all fantastic - shits at times but ok I’m pretty ok right now at how they’ve turned out

Ah how lovely, boys will always love their mums and every once in a while they will surprise them!

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned it would have been a big birthday for my Dad that day, had he still been with us (He died when ds was just 7 so my dc barely remember him), and later that day, ds came home with some flowers he'd been out and bought for me. I fully welled up. Felt so proud of him.
