For the past few days I've been waking up covered in bites which swell up red and hot and about 3cm in diameter. Been told to use hydrocortisone cream and piriton, neither of which are working. I'm feeling generally unwell and tired (not from the piriton, I take those regularly and have never reacted to them) - slept for 13 hours one night. Headaches, stomach horrible etc - could just be a coincidence though. I've now got at least 10 of them.
We do get mozzies in our room a lot, but now have a ceiling fan so haven't had to have the windows open and I've not been bothered by them at night since then.
However, husband has just found this dead in our bedroom. It's a couple of cm in length apparently.
Could this be the biting bastard? Wtf is it? I'm used to mozzies but this is like a mozzie on steroids...
