Any tennis players around?

Have just dug our my and DH's raquets from the attic - we used to play weekly pre DD's. Had a game with DD's and both handle grips have decomposed and left us with heavy, sticky oil type stain in our hands. The racquets are otherwise in good nick but I'd love to replace the grips?

How do I remove the old grip and residue and buy then apply a new grip?

You can order new grips online or get from a sports shop. Just unwrap the old grip and the apply the new grip starting at the end away from the racket head. You then cut then end on a diagonal and put the supplied tape over it. Be careful to only overlay the minimum amount of grip each time to keep it comfortable. Don't worry if you may a mistake as you can unwrap and rewrap while you're doing it. If they've been laying around for a long time you might also want a restring - try a local independent sports shop or tennis club.
