I am vair excited because DP and I have very little child free time. DC’s are 9 and 7; we have had three, separate nights without them since they were born. I admit to feeling envious of those lucky enough to have family support. Anyway i digress!
We are lucky to be able to have a night away this winter for a big birthday. We will have from a Friday morning after school drop off until Saturday lunchtime. We live in South Wales and would rather not have far to travel because we don’t want to waste our time.
Priorities are luxurious, comfortable rooms - good beds and bedding, king size, lovely bathroom, WiFi etc and amazing food because DP is v foodie. I would love to be somewhere beautiful or interesting but food and comfort more important. It doesn’t need to be grand, or, formal and a spa is not necessary.
I’d love some ideas about where to stay and also where to mooch on the day. Only gentle mooching, we are v middle aged! 😂😂. We know the Felin Fach Griffin and love it, and we don’t want Bath or Bristol as we know both v well and would like somewhere new. Love Hay too but have been loads.
