Any recommendations for adventure playgrounds or just good playgrounds to visit in Devon?

Visiting Croyde in North Devon next week with DH and 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. Can anyone recommend any great playgrounds or other must visits? Thanks in advance.

Interesting request! We don't actually have many big parks at all around the area - Rock Park in Barnstaple is nice and Bideford Park is great - has a little
Pool but it's a good half hour from Croyde.

Some of the holiday parks have great facilities which you can use. Gold Coast in the outskirts of Woolacombe have a climbing wall, high ropes and wave machine.

In Croyde there is a park behind the village hall and also behind the beach but both pretty small.

For days out the swimming with seals trip to Lundy run by Wild Frontiers is incredible. I was surrounded by 9 seals!!

Also Big Sheep and Watermouth Castle are fun days out.

Enjoy!

Thank you. We plan to travel out and about a fair bit so don’t mind travelling. After typing the request realised there are two parks at Ruda where we are staying 🙈 Thought we might find somewhere with a zip wire or low ropes. Also any suggestions of great places to eat out. We’ve already booked in to eat at the Thatch for two evenings but keen to try out some other great places too.

Ropes at Gold Coast in Woolacombe. Bigger ropes at ultimate adventure opposite big sheep.

Good places to eat try Riverside and Siam Bistro in Braunton.

Great roasts at kings arms in georgeham.

In Ilfracombe try espresso or Giovanni and Lucas. Good lunches here at Annie and the Flint and The Deli.

Have a great time!
