Confused about Open University funding. Can anyone help?

I’d like to do an OU access module .

I think I meet the criteria for a free course but I’m not sure .

It states income has to be less than £25,000 for the household - does this only mean wages or does it also include benefits such as disability benefits and CTC?

It also says I would meet the criteria if I receive certain benefits - one of them being Universal Credit .

I haven’t been switched to UC yet so still receive CTC - do these not count ? Confused

I’ll be unable to do the course without funding Sad

I’ll call them tomorrow but I’m impatient and would like to know if anyone can help?

It's the taxable household income, so CTC is not counted but (for example) CB ESA or Carers Allowance would be.

No, CTC is not a qualifying benefit. With Universal Credit there will be other qualifying criteria.

If you don't qualify you can take out a part time student loan.

Cake baggy

Is CB taxable income? I didn’t know .

I don’t want to apply for the tuition loan as I can only apply once and I’m hoping to go on to further study .

My income is less than £25,000 so I’m hoping I’ll qualify for the free module Smile
