WTF, just paid a bill but on my account page, the billable amount has now doubled

I don't understand this.

I pay my factor a direct debit of £70 a month. Every now and then I log onto my account online to check that everything's hunky dory. Last week when I logged on I noticed it said 'Balance: -£104'

(cue panic)

I phoned them and they said it was about work that had to be done on communal grounds.

Today I've paid the bill using my CC but my account now shows: Balance: -£208.

WTF is happening here?!

-104 means 104 in credit.
You've now paid an extra 104, so are 208 in credit. Stop the direct debits (ir reduce them) for a bit.

What is my factor?

Yeah, if it has a -in front of it, it means you're in credit. It's increased because you paid another £104 so are now £208 in credit.

A factor is like a management company for communal areas of flats, like the roof, closes, etc.

Oh crap!

Blush

Thanks. I'll need to phone them tomorrow Blush
