What to buy at Costco? Without breaking the bank!!

DH wants to visit Costco to renew our membership cards. We’ve not been for quite a while and, although I’d like to go, I’m worried that you can get carried away there. Can anyone recommend absolute essentials? We’ve had the Kirkland breaded chicken escalopes which were delicious, as was the bakery stuff and fruit salad. But I want to stay level headed there and try to buy only the things you can’t buy elsewhere for a reasonable price/quality.

Ghirardelli chocolate brownie mix. Not cheap but very very good.

Our rule is we only buy things we wouldn't use more of because we have more of it.
Although the odd giant cake or pack of pastries makes its way in to my trolley!

Boringly their bin bags and kitchen roll are fantastic quality.

I’ve had a roll of their kitchen foil for more than 4 years and it’s amazingly strong, brilliant quality and price wise it’s worked out very economical.
Those brownies sound yummy, I may need a detour to the cake mix section!

We're so boring as we just buy things we use very regularly already so we're not having to pick it up in our weekly shops, but we give ourselves 1 bonus item per trip to keep costs down. I try to keep DH out of the furniture, garden and TV sections as he's got a weakness for those.

My regulars are chopped tinned tomatoes, coffee beans, baked beans, sausages.
