Help! I think we have fleas in the house....

Our lovely cat died a month ago and over the past few days we've been noticing fleas here and there.

I used Frontline on our cat and I don't remember her scratching.

How do I get rid of them?

Hoover everyday, they need a cat to survive

My only advice here is to get an exterminator in. We had to do this 4 weeks ago as our house was literally jumping with the bastards! (we did try all the sprays under the sun but none worked)
We paid £240 but make sure you get one with a guarantee that they'll come back if it doesn't completely eliminate them. After two weeks we still had them so they tried a different spray and now we're flea free. Our damn house cat got out the window ONCE!
I have never had a month like it, it was horrendous. I suggest you get it done sooner rather than later though before they leave more eggs. My legs are utterly scarred from bites
Best of luck!

Joopy they need anything with blood to survive so even if they kept the cat out (which we did) they just kept breeding

Oh shit I'm so sorry OP! I didn't read that your cat had died! I'm so sorry

Spray carpets and soft furnishings with indorex. It will also kill the eggs.
Hoover at least once a day, paying attention to the edges of the room where eggs are likely to lurk. Put the contents of your vacuum cleaner directly in an outside bin.
You should be clear within a couple of weeks - if you're not, you have a serious infestation and need to call someone to come in and spray for you.
