Gift ideas for a 1st wedding anniversary party

I have been invited to a first wedding anniversary party, Ive never been to one before. Any ideas for a gift, I don't know the couple very well as I recently moved to the area.

I didn't think there was such a thing considering they only got married 12 months ago and presumably got plenty of gifts then!
I think the first anniversary is traditionally paper? So maybe just a card or Newspaper cutting for the day of their wedding or similar?

People have parties for this? And expect you to being gifts????? Fuck. That. Shit.

Card would do I think? Also never heard of anytime giving anniversary gifts other than the couple themselves to each other, or maybe a big anniversary, the first of which would be silver.

Also surprised at this unless they had a tiny wedding; I’d say a bottle of champagne

An anniversary party is weird unless it’s a significant one like 25/40/50 etc!
I’d just get a card.

I think I'd just put the bottle of wine that I'd normally take to a party in a gift bag and get an anniversary card. Do you know of any reasons why their wedding didn't go as planned as that's the only reason I can think to hold a first anniversary party?
