How long did you wait for DLA renewal to come back.

I have just sent the dla forms of for my son and was wondering how long people have waited to have an answer xx

9 weeks the second time, 2 weeks the first time.

I phoned today and they said they aren’t even looking at the forms until they’ve had on them on their system four weeks as they have a massive back log!

I sent mine a month ago and they ‘received’ it 13th July and the guy said they won’t look at it for four - six weeks and then obviously can take longer for decisions, contact to be made with medical professionals etc.

11 weeks for ours.
