Am I allowed to make 'Most Helpful Comment on the Thread' awards?

Not specifically about any thread.
It's just that time after time I read threads where a poster has spectacularly missed the point, or deliberately nit-picked on the tiniest detail.
It really annoys me, so can I be in charge? Grin

Only if we can also have an award for people who think mumsnet is Google.

"could I be pregnant?" - how about piss on a test
"should I eat 2 day old chicken?" - fucking Google it
"how can I return a parcel to amazon"

You get the gist.

But where would the fun be without the randoms?! (My autocorrect made that ransoms, which is perfect)

mineofuselessinformation · 26/07/2019 19:39

Ok, Mmm, so do you want to be in charge of 'Have You Googled it?' awards?
I'm happy with that. Smile

Can we have a special category for the SPAG army?

mineofuselessinformation · 26/07/2019 19:40

Only if you bid for a position on the committee yourself, boringly!

What's the SPAG army? (Or should I Google it?)

boringlyboring · 26/07/2019 19:43

growling when posters comment on others’ spelling/grammar to show their superiority (particularly amusing when they make an error themselves)

growlingbear · 26/07/2019 19:57

Thank you.

Ah yes the grammer ( sic ) police. Usually struck by Muphry's Law, which is delicious.

I've just clicked on a thread where someone has asked if OP has googled.... Grin
