Anyone up? My stress levels are stratospheric...

DS1... off to Oz tomorrow to spend the school holidays (he's a TA) with his fiancee... who has had to return after two years with us.,they are waiting for a couples visa but he has a tourist one for now.
Only his new passport arrived last week...and we didn't realise it didn't transfer. ... Australia are strict on these matters. Cue one sobbing adult son, thinking he's fucked up..he has but just because none of us knew..we don't travel much!

Thanks to a nice lady in Australia we just rang, the paperwork will be emailed to her in a few minutes and fingers crossed for not much hassle tomorrow.

But the last two hours have been EXTREMELY stressful. He's a lovely man, and has been missing his fiancee so badly and we just had no idea :/

Aus has done a lot of its entry clearance stuff online for years now. Getting a new passport during the validity of a visa is really common, so it's a well trodden admin path.

If the paperwork doesn't arrive asap, get back on the phone. Pester power is a marvellous thing. Be persistent.

I'm up because I'm flying out for a family holiday that was meant to be a surprise for my parents, but dad died last week. Mum is there.
