Ds2 loves apples but not what he calls woolly or too sweet. He really likes them sharp.

I'm just doing the shopping order now so recommendations would be welcome Smile.

Granny smith are good.

Granny Smith?

Braeburn?

I'm with him. Nothing worse than a woolly apple!

WhiteVixen · 24/07/2019 13:47

Braeburn are generally quite reliable for that, but you can sometimes get a woolly one.

It depends just HOW sharp he likes! Granny Smiths are bordering on the bitter sometimes, I prefer Jazz or Pink Lady where you still get the fresh crunch but are a little bit sweeter....

Thanks, I've gone with Braeburn this week.

Braeburn or Pink Lady (though Braeburn can be wooly, and Pink Lady can be too sweet Grin)

Oh, he does like them very sharp indeed. We will see how they turn out.

Granny Smith are nice and sharp. If that’s not enough for him, you could try giving him a Bramley apple Grin

Pascha · 24/07/2019 14:03

Grin honestly? This is the 6yr old who nicks the lemon from battered fish in restaurants and squeezes it over his chips because vinegar isn't sharp enough apparently Confused. Maybe I should go with the granny Smith as well...
