If I cancel my Amazon prime membership...

Can I still use it till the date of renewal?

Usually when I cancel a membership I'm told I can still use it until a certain date.

When I've just tried to cancel my prime membership it said I will lose all access to my Amazon Prime benefits even though it doesn't expire till August.

I just don't want to forget and end up paying another years worth.

You should be able to use it until the expiry date. I foolishly paid for a year which expires in March 2020 and I've already set it to not renew because it's too tempting to buy stuff I don't really need and it's not always the cheapest option but I still have use of prime until then.

You do keep it until the renewal date, I thought the same when I cancelled but it’s cleverly worded to make you delay cancelling in the hope that you’ll forget.

Mine renews at the end of August and I cancelled it last week. I am still getting all my benefits and will do until the renewal date.
I have done this previously as well and I used everything until the renewal date.

I think you can set a reminder to alert you a few days before renewable. You definitely can with prime music.

I just cancelled mine. At the final stage it gave me two options:

Cancel immediately with a refund for this months fee

Cancel with no refund but keep the service until the end of the month
