I just can't decide what I fancy when its hot, but still need to eat.

What are you eating at the moment?

I cook pasta/rice/anything that requires boiled water in the mornings whilst we still have the windows open. Then for the rest, something cold (tomatoes/carrots/ peppers/cucumber) or can be heated quickly in the frying pan (gnocchi, pepper/courgette/aubergine). Meat we have either cold fish, meat or again something that takes 2 mins to cook in frying pan, thin slices of meat or scrambled eggs. Jacket potatoes in microwave.

Ice cream. Specifically tubs of magnum ice cream. A little bit of salad at lunch time for some sort of nutrition but yea, ice cream!

FairyFestival · 24/07/2019 12:26

Potatoes in the microwave is a good idea.

I cooked something in the oven yesterday and almost fainted when I opened it.

Pasta salad
Rice salad
Grilled or BBQ meat and salad
Omelettes and salad
Cold meat and salad

There's a theme Smile

NorthEndGal · 24/07/2019 12:27

We grill outside most days, so we don't heat the house.
There are so many things you can grill, and loads of salads, so we haven't got bored yet.

lubeybooby · 24/07/2019 12:28

weetabix and yogurt

tuna salad

v quick chicken stir fry with microwave rice (avoids the faff of a bbq and minimal heat released into house)

Headinabook55 · 24/07/2019 16:01

Salad, baked rotisserie chicken breast, coleslaw tonight.

pastapestoparmesan · 24/07/2019 16:10

Everything! Weirdly I’m starving!

BarbedBloom · 24/07/2019 16:11

I don't really liked cold food so tonight we are having fajitas, but will only need to quickly cook the chicken and veg so won't take long

ChubbyMummy12 · 24/07/2019 16:12

Were having tuna pasta salad tonight

KipperCuddlingGrimbots · 24/07/2019 16:17

I'm surviving on Mr Freeze ice pops alone today.

Plus some crisps to replace the salt lost in sweat.

Health Grin

NewIDNewme · 24/07/2019 16:21

I use the oven for traybakes and things that I don't need to go back to except to serve,. so I'm out of the kitchen throughout the process.
Last night was pork steaks chopped up with new potatoes, leeks, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions and garlic.
Tonight I'm pan frying fish and steaming veg so much more effort even though it's quicker to cook.

OrangeJustice · 24/07/2019 16:23

We generally eat the same as we usually do. Probably wouldn’t do a casserole though. And last night we had a bbq but that’s unusual for us. I’m doing egg fried rice with chicken for tea tonight and pasta tomorrow.

Rachelover40 · 24/07/2019 16:24

Very little, drinking quite a lot of water and lemon and barley. I will soon be as thin as a rake.

FairyFestival · 24/07/2019 19:49

Plus some crisps to replace the salt lost in sweat.

Excellent point Grin

Baxters' Chicken Broth!

Shouldbedoing · 24/07/2019 20:55

The kids have a music lesson on Wednesdays or McDonald's Night as we call it. I don't eat it on a weekly basis though I do enjoy it. Tinned soup is all I cba to make.

whoami24601 · 24/07/2019 20:57

I've just eaten half of this box Blush
