....how do you think the public and the press would be regarding his career and life choices?

The feminists would laud her decision to have as many children with as many fathers as she's fit, tell her to get a doula/live in nanny/au pair/cleaner carry on juggling three jobs and not to register any of the children on the birth certificates so she has sole PR.

They'd probably also tell her to go NC with all the people who are negative in her space. And that she as surrounded by narcs

GoFiguire · 24/07/2019 08:32

And to go to a decent hairdresser.

ShatnersWig · 24/07/2019 08:33

Bertrand Come on, you know what his surname really is, don't you?

It's hard enough imagining he's a competent human being of either sex, frankly.

WrongKindOfFace · 24/07/2019 08:35

If Boris was a women he wouldn’t have been even half as successful. The press would have destroyed him.

BertrandRussell · 24/07/2019 08:38

Fuck- how did I spell it wrong! What an idiot!

I agree with wrong kind of face - only men could get away with the fake shambled effect!

ErrolTheDragon · 24/07/2019 08:42

Arf at the poster confusing 'A few random AIBU posters' with 'the feminists'.Grin

It's a bit hard to imagine - what shall we call her, Brenda? Bella? - Johnson having quite the same career and life choices because the first of those (albeit a parental choice) wouldn't have been available to her. That is, the old boys club of Eton.

“Wrong kind of face”

From Sky News...

Definitely the wrong face.

The nearest female politician in terms of style might be Anne Widdecombe - but she's pretty much his polar opposite in other ways.

I was just looking everywhere for the spelling error!!!

The thing is if he was a woman he would have constructed a completely different image.

He doesn’t pull funny faces/have messy hair/make the gaffs he does by accident. It’s a construction designed to get him power. And it has worked.

If he was a woman he’d have constructed a different image.

And possibly due to socialisation sought a different sort of power.

BertrandRussell · 24/07/2019 09:17

@MichaelMumsnet - thank you so much! The shame was intense....

Not a hope.

I keep wanting to rename the now PM as Bergholt Stuttley Johnson, aka 'Bloody Stupid'.
