Sunburn and health anxiety ...

I have long standing anxiety over my health , ie about twenty years . Much worse last eighteen months and now on medication etc .

GP tried to persuade me today to go out as I’m scared of exercise ... said the sun would do me good ... and it did . I walked 4.5 km and feel great for it .

Except I’ve burnt my shoulders ... both sides but one significantly worse . Just red , no blisters .

I’ve had peeling sunburn twice before - and plenty of other milder sunburn as a child and teenager - and a bit worried , as I’m also covered in moles and had one removed a few years ago (for convenience reasons more than anything , it kept getting caught shaving .. back when the NHS would do that !) .

I’m being daft aren’t I . I haven’t caused any irreversible problems just being burnt again.

You’ll be fine. The walk made you feel good so go again but cover up/ cream up. I totally get where you’re coming from but the walk sounds like it did wonders

Yes it did, I’m amazed at myself . Three years ago I was a HCA doing twelve hour shifts and 18000 steps a day ... to now when I’ve been getting 4000 on a very good day . Delighted with myself and could have cried . It’s like Dorothy landing in Oz with everything so much lovelier because haven’t seen much beyond my house in months !
