Has anyone fallen pregnant whilst having the copper coil fitted?

I have got the copper coil fitted but in april i had a leep for cervical cancer cells. I have symptoms that i am pregnant such a nausea constantlay, veiny boobs, funny taste in mouth spotting last week .
Has anyone had a leep and it effect or move their coil or fallen pregnant on the copper coil?

I've read that the coil is actually one of the most effective contraception measures as it removed he human error associated with the pill and condoms however it can come out and that obviously makes it useless! The only way to know is to POAS.

I fell pregnant with a copper coil fitted. It was in the correct place but at about 10 weeks it moved down to cervix and caused a slight bleed. It was removed in hospital, I was advised the risk of removing was the same as the risk of leaving. My son turned 35 a few days ago

Not me but a friend did, so yes unlikely but possible. You should do a test and if positive you need to inform your midwife team as they need to check you out.

Happened to a friend who had copper coil fitted. Dr dismissed her concerns so I suggest you do a test yourself first

Thank you girls. Im going to do a test in the morning. Ive literally been feeling like im going mad as i no how effective the coil is im just convinced as they have done my leep procedure its moved the coil . Ive got 2 dd so i felt like this with both pregnancy
