London heatwave. Which watering hole is the coolest this week...

Going out in London Thursday. Weather says 35degrees c.

Tried to back out but still stuck going and tbh do want to as is a really old friend.

Where on earth can we go in this crazy heat?! I’m not good with the heat and neither is she. All air con units welcome. Could definitely entertain a short stint outside so long as we can shuffle back to the air con when necessary.

Copious cocktails also a huge requirement.
Helpppppp ☀️

Oh @Mac47 if there was an ice bar it’s probably going to have melted by Thursday Grin

Did you survive ? Where did you go ? Assuming you didn't cancel .

And hopefully you didn't travel by train and are not caught up in the current nightmare of scorched wires ,trains stuck in tunnels etc that is Euston ,St Pancras and Waterloo.

dysun · 25/07/2019 21:20

@peridito no I did not survive. My trains actually sent me a message saying try not to travel today as there will be cancellations so both of us ended up wfh and cancelling our evening.
Am planning to go to sketch in a couple of weeks now though which looks interesting.

Ooooh Sketch! I've always liked the look of the photos taken there but their website gives NO info! Hope you can update your post with your "findings"???!!!!! Looks super-funky but nil explains what room is for what eg just drinks, just evening grub, just afternoon tea? I would fancy food and a couple of cocktails .....

I'm inclined to think cancelling was good choice ,though disapointing better than being stuck for hours .
