Do you trust your instincts about people?

Long story cut short - there is someone in my life who I wonder is trustworthy. Just a sense that they try to undermine me.
But then they can seem like a true friend at times too.
I know people are complicated and in relationships you take the rough with the smooth but when do you know it's time to put up the boundaries?

Trust your instincts. Be wary until they prove to be trustworthy. Maybe still be friends but be careful what you share with them.

Sorry didn’t read last bit about boundaries. Yes definitely set boundaries! E.g. if they keep coming around without calling first say please call ahead but if that person carries on doing this then you know they have no respect for you or boundaries and cut them out.

It took me years to figure out these kind of people who make you feel the problem is with you not them when you demand respect for your boundaries and expect them not to cross them, Hope makes sense
