Would you switch energy to a company you’ve never heard of?

We’re with one of the big energy suppliers. Their current fixed price deal is hundreds more than we’re currently paying.

Uswitch has come up with about half a dozen cheaper suppliers but I’ve never heard of them.

Has anyone else switched from a ‘big one’ to an unknown? Is there anything I need to bear in mind?

Another switcher to Bulb here. We've always been with one of the big 6. Switched a few months ago and can't fault them. Saving money and don't have to have a smart meter if you don't want one (although probably will so I don't have to go in the spider cupboard to read the meters).

With bulb and not had any massive price changes. Might be worth querying the smart meter? See if they will check it.

We switched to outfox the market when they had just set up...halved our bill and still in credit ready for winter. Been with them 2yrs now with no issues. If u switch are recommending then I wouldn't be bothered.

Oh and they have not yet gone to smart meters
