Will be in staying in Windsor this summer for a few days with our 2year old DD. One day we plan to visit Legoland. Just wondered if any MNs from the area could recommend other places to visit?
Also thinking of going into London for the day. We went last year and despite it being hectic DD loved it. We visited the Science Museum and St James Park/Buckingham Palace. Any other recommendations would be great/or if you know any summer holiday activities that are going on? TIA

Windsor obviously has the castle but most days they change the guard which you can watch on the street, it’s around 11am. At 2 he is free if you take the sightseeing bus and you can get a combined boat trip/ bus ticket valid for 24 hours and get on and off the bus at various points. There is a park behind the main shopping street with a play park and fountains so you could get a picnic to take there and have a very cheap day. There is a little funfair in Alexander gardens, toddler rides really, it’s by the river. Lots of places to eat and the Wetherspoons oppposite the castle is huge and not a bad choice with children but there’s loads of other places.

Take a duck tour! www.windsorducktours.co.uk
Odds Farm Park is excellent and always has some special event on. There are daily animal feeding sessions and demonstrations like milking and meeting baby animals/rabbits/guinea pigs etc... There are tractor and trailer rides, ride on toys, a large indoor soft play barn, outdoor water play area, sand pits and a gorgeous tea room.
