Haircuts for boys with fine straight hair?

My son has fine straight hair and lots of it.

What style would you say is best suited to this type of hair?

How old is he? My ds is 16 and has his hair cropped really short at the back and sides longer on the top. That seems to be a popular cut for boys.

As per your other thread, short back and sides!
Ds is 5 and has a grade 2 done with clippers back and sides and then a bit longer on the top done with scissors and chipped into.
He occasionally has the front/top spiked with wax but its so fine that only half a can of hairspray added keeps it styled for any length of time!

We always had longer on top, short back and sides - like Prince William when he was little I guess.

Does anyone have any photos of what they mean? I can get a better idea then and maybe show hairdresser.
