Anyone else feeling weirdly down that it’s the end of another school year?

I don’t know why - time going too quickly, kids growing up fast, --facing a long summer holiday entertaining the kids on my own while DH is at work!--

I’m excited to do more outdoorsy stuff with the kids, but feel a bit blue today. (Kids aren’t, they’re thrilled!)

Anyone else?

God no. I work in a school and it has been a particularly stressful year so I am delighted it is over Smile

DS7 was in tears yesterday. We are nice to him at home, honest!

Yep. I feel similar.

I get you OP.

My daughter's life is speeding past and there's nothing I can do to slow it down. She's no longer a squidgy little baby or a clumsy little toddler. She's a child now, a proper actual child, she's over half way to a teenager and yet it seems such a short time since she was born.
Scary how the perception of time shifts as you age.

My son is going to be in his last year. I cant believe it.

No this year has dragged but that’s because I work in a school and have really struggled with my allocated role these past couple of years and not enjoyed it all this year.
Was literally counting the minutes on Friday till I could leave.
School doesn’t break up till next week but will be tidying up classrooms and also get to do some fun stuff with the kids.
I find life easier now my own DC are a bit older too, Infant school was full on.

Nope! It’s been a long year- although I was blessed with the class from Heaven this year.

DS is very down about it. He’s just finished yr9 and GCSEs are now a very real prospect. He knows he won’t see some kids very often now as they aren’t doing the same options and he’s found that unsettling.
