After how many dates have you usually gone "all the way" with someone?

I know it varies from relationship to relationship and from person to person and everyone should wait until they feel it's right, etc. but just curious how many dates you've typically gone on before doing so?

This is in regards to dating someone you didn't know beforehand e.g. online dating, etc

2 months on average I think but I don’t stick to it as a rule. It just happens like that

Hmmmbop · 19/07/2019 22:22

With DH it was 3 dates, my boyfriend before him it was a week. Longest I've waited was a month but that was when I lost my virginity. I've had several ONS though, but mainly with people I've known before had, only 3 'proper' ones.

Normally on the first date, assuming they want to. If I am dating someone then I probably fancy shagging them. Obviously not if they turn out to be unkind or support the Tories or something.

I’ve been married since dinosaurs walked the earth, but generally on the first date, if I liked them. I had an ingrained horror of liking someone for months and investing time and energy in them and only then discovering they were a disaster in bed.

Missillusioned · 19/07/2019 22:42

I used to wait, but the last two or three times I've been on a date with someone I fancy I've done it on the first date.

I figure that I'd rather find out if they're no good in bed or if they're someone who vanishes after sex straight away rather than after I've started to become emotionally attached.

And so far I prefer this approach.

My problem is I need to go on a date first...then I can answer. I'm going to have to join a dating site I think 😕

MondeoFan · 19/07/2019 22:59

About 4-5 dates or a month in whichever is sooner
With my ex I really wanted to on the first date as he was gorgeous but he was acting weird I think as he was nervous so I just went home but I was glad in the end so he didn't think I was easy pickings

SimonJT · 19/07/2019 23:09

With someone I knew well before dating about three months, with someone I didn’t know before, it hasn’t happened just yet, but I imagine around the three monthish mark will be right for me.

SimplySteveRedux · 19/07/2019 23:14

Ooh, about 14 hours...

Jurassicmuma · 20/07/2019 06:09

3/4 dates for

EatingBreadAndHoney · 20/07/2019 06:23

"All the way" Grin are you still at school?

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 20/07/2019 06:26

First date, every time. Because I wanted to.

When I want to...

Soola · 20/07/2019 14:09

3-6 months when I have been single.

I wouldn’t have sexy with anyone that I had just met and three months is a reasonable indication of who they are.

Soola · 20/07/2019 14:09

Sex not sexy

ememem84 · 20/07/2019 14:10

With dh I think it was the first time we went out. Or maybe the second.

With ex boyfriends the longest I’ve waited is around a month or so. But some have been the first time etc.
