That's it really. I'm a single parent to demanding pre-schooler and stroppy teenager, work full time in a job that exhausts me and takes over far too much of my mind space.... I work, manage to do evening routine, have an hour on sofa and sleep. Weekends mainly exhausted by try and do some activity for the little one ie. zoo etc which bores the shit out of me. He sees his dad but only when i'm working so no alone time apart from evenings at home.........

Can you get a regular babysitter, even on an afternoon to get a bit of you time? It sounds hard work op. I don't think it's normal to feel like your life is boring. It will get easier as the littlest gets older and you can do more stuff you enjoy with her. What do you like doing (given the opportunity)?

Same here. Bored most days. Lacking in energy to enjoy most things anyway.

I work all week, and weekend afternoons have no childcare, he wouldn't go to anyone if i did find someone anyway. Plus my massive parental guilt syndrome i couldn't farm him out on a weekend. Given the opportunity at the mo i would stay in bed and read and sleep...... no energy for anything else!

I have small kids and stay in a lot too but I would never say I am bored. I like my own company and always have more than enough on. Resting and reading sounds good, do you have any good books? Maybe do that one night a week instead of sofa time?
