Can anyone talk to me about fitbits?

I'm planning on getting a fitbit (as a reward for giving up smoking and taking up exercise!)

I THINK I've settled on a Charge 3, after reading lots of reviews...but there are so many different ones! Does anyone have one (or more) and can recommend it? I want to use it for walking, swimming and diet tracking, mainly.

Charge 2 is my one and is quite big, I don’t like the straps.

Charge 2 is no good for swimming. I find it most useful for tracking to get into the right heartrate “zone” when doing cardio.

Didn’t find it great for food tracking, links up with My Fitness Pal but this was unreliable and won’t link up with many other food tracking apps.

Not keen on the sleep monitoring as disliked wearing it at night.

I had the charge 2, swapped for the blaze, find the blaze tracks better and like that it links to maps for walks etc but can’t swim with it obviously my version. There may be a newer one that can though

Mine is Charge 2 and I love it for my sleep, steps and heart.

I’ve got an Alta - it tracks steps and sleep, and is pretty good at it - although if I knit fast enough, it counts that as steps!

That's hilarious about the knitting! I do a lot of vigorous hand-movement stuff (sanding wood, playing the fiddle) so that may be a problem for me!
