Do you find random excuses to eat ‘treats’

I generally eat and exercise well, but I like eating chocolate! And often give myself good, imo!!! excuses to eat then guilt free Grin

So for examples this week:

On Friday my dh went away for a month, leaving me alone with the kids. So I thought, 1st night he’s away I deserve a treat of hot chocolate! Smile

Today I had a coil put in, my cervix is in a funny sideways position due to letzz a couple years ago. It took longer than it should have and was pretty uncomfortable! So on my way home I was buying teacher gifts in a fancy choc shop and thought I deserve some too! And a glass of wine this evening Grin

Yep- it's the start of the week, I need a boost, it's the middle of the week, I need a perk, it's the end of the week, I need a treat.

Yes!!! Its sunny ...nice glass of wine in the garden
It's Wimbledon ...nice class of prosecco and some strawberries with lovely thick cream. That way I can pretend I'm actually there as I watch.
Trip down the beach to walk the dog...fish and chips of course
Theatre trip ....seldom go out ...lovely pre theatre dinner
Cinema with the grandkids ...got to buy them treats naturally can't just sit there... Absolutely need some chocolate myself

And so it goes on ...if you need an excuse for absolutely anything treat wise ...just ask me Grin

If things go well, I reward myself with nice food. If things go badly, I commiserate with nice food. It’s no coincidence that I’m overweight.

TheKitchenWitch · 17/07/2019 19:15

No. I don’t really hold with the idea that I have to “deserve” something nice. If I dm fancy chocolate, or wine, or whatever, I have it.

I eat what I want, when I want. If anyone has an issue with it they can blow it out of their arse.
I was once at a family function and my sister got a slice of chocolate fudge cake with cream, her nob gob ex husband said to her ' you don't really need that do you ' she replied ' you're right, I don't, you have it ' and shoved it square into his face. 😂
They're divorced now unsurprisingly.

As my mum says, it's 7 o clock somewhere... Gin

ScrambledToe · 17/07/2019 20:11

Fair enough @TheKitchenWitch Smile

I don’t think anyone has a problem with what I eat @DogbertDogglesworth but I’d love to do what your dsis did Grin
