What to look for in a toddler bed & how to implement?

We have very limited space due to a really awkwardly designed room, there are angles galore so we can't move things around the way we want to. We're limited on what length toddler bed we can buy but have a few options. Do you have any tips on what to look for and how to implement it?

DC will be 2 and loves getting in beds when we go out to furniture stores, we have been co-sleeping so I feel like this is the right time now there's that interest. I'd hoped to get some themed bedding for favourite TV characters and set up a cosy space as I've noticed DC likes to be snuggled in under covers and in tents. Anything beyond that, I'm at a loss, I'm expecting I'll need to get in with DC for cuddles with a book at bedtime. Anything else I need to prepare for?

Im sorry but I can't help on the actual bed. We opted to bypass the toddler bed and went straight for a single.
For snuggling things, IKEA do a lot of bed tent contraptions that can be fixed to the wall or to the bed itself (bits tucking under the mattress). You can also get little pop-up tent things there, or you could put up a teepee of some sort using sheets?
Bedding - ASDA do some very affordable stuff but not necessarily TV character themed.

I have this for my 2

In fact my 4 and 6 year old still fit in them so I haven’t upgraded to a single yet.
