V5C Change of Address. Confused.

I need to send my V5C log book to DVLA to change address. Instructions on gov.uk say if it's a new style one with coloured, numbered boxes to use section 3. If it's an old style one to use section 6.

It is a new style one but section 6 is specifically about new addresses and section 3 is "Special notes". Anyone know which section to use? I've completed 6 bu now doubting.

Can't find a number to call DVLA. Tried their online contact form and it will only load the name and email address fields, no free text box so I've accidentally sent them a blank query.

You fill in section 6 just don't tick the new keeper box.

Thanks. Have only just realised we've not done this and moved a year ago. Tax was 4 months out of date. We are idiots. And will be idiots with a big fine I fear.

Yes you will be fined for the tax. Have you changed your driving licence too?

Yes. Did both driving licenses and change of address for the other car but missed this car. Which makes it more stupid.
