Any good on line resources for learning a bit of Russian?

Going on a trip.. I’ve looked a Duolingo but it dives tight in without explaining Cyrillic .

Marking my place
My therapist is Russian and he speaks good English
Would like to surprise him when I see him in October

Have a look on YouTube for the alphabet. Once you've got that it's a much more phonetic language than English because the alphabet has so many more sounds.
