Calling all music lovers.....I want to share...

I love music. Like, L.O.V.E it. TV vs music.....music wins, hands down.

I have a very broad and varied taste in music. I'm chuffed that in my mid- 40's I'm still discovering new bands - some new to the scene and some just new to my ears.

In a lot of new music, I think you can hear their influences and previous bands gone by or ones that are still around. I think this is a good thing, for the most part.

However, I have found 2 new bands that are so new, fresh and innovative and right up my street and I cannot liken then to any other band.

Matthew and the Atlas and Bear's Den. Was fortunate to see them at the Citadel Festival yesterday. They were awesome live.

Had them both on repeat for weeks and have not tired of them.

Just wanted to spread the love. Listen to their essential Apple Playlists or all their albums.

I bloody love Matthew and the Atlas! They are my music choice at work when doing creative bits I'm glad they're as good live!

Bears den are brilliant! Check out a band called Ider too. They are amazing.

Radio X is decent for new bands too - Gordon Smarts show in particular

Dope Lemon and Julia Jackson are another 2 someone put me onto recently that I've been loving!

I get a massive glow from others appreciating the same music. Waging a War is a MATA fave....I'm listening now instead of going to bed.

I fangirled the guitarist in the crowd for another set at the festival yesterday and he was bloody lovely.

There's a playlist on Apple - 'singer songwriter' I have discovered some fantastic artists on there.

I too love discovering new music and I usually find them on TV shows, search for them on YouTube, then YouTube uses its witchcraft to find me similar tunes. It's a Brave new world all right. And my friends who are all the same age insist on playing music from our youth which is 80s, the 80s aren't going anywhere people!

Saying that, I won't listen to anything in the charts.
