Where do you buy yours?

For the record, I've always fed my lab premium dog food but she's not been well so my vets had advised to feed her on the cheap stuff to see if it Makes a difference which is fine by me as money is tight!

Not all premium foods use premium ingredients, intact most are full of fillers and rubbish which some dogs can't tolerate.
Check the ingredients on the food you feed currently on the website listed by a few Pp.

A high meat content grain free food would probably suit much better.

We had our retriever on the posh Paws food. She absolutely bloomed in weight very quickly. The portion to keep her weight under control was tiny and obviously unsatisfying, she was always hungry. We switched to Irish Rover (£8ish for 12kg at Costco) and she shed the weight within a couple of months, her coat is beautiful, she's full of energy and very happy. I'll never go back to paying so much for dog food!

Vets spend very little time on nutrition during training and usually have the same ignorance and prejudices as the general public.

Where do people learn this absolute crap Hmm
