Hip pain and now numbness- possibly

I've had a deep pain in one hip for three years. X-Rays and MRI have shown nothing sinister, just wear and tear, I'm 50. Steroid injection numbed the wrong area and no lasting effect.
I'm now under sports physio and doing tedious exercises which hurt- no reason given why this is the treatment, I'm very flexible and strong.
Over the last week it's become much worse, also not relieved by movement which was historically the case. And now the 'possibly' bit, I've become quite tingly around the leg and anus and this morning suddenly almost pooped myself (as in I would have but made it to the loo in time). Never had any digestive issues before, not on pain meds (ie not reacting to ibuprofen or codeine)
It feels quite different, I have a physio appointment tomorrow- any advice- what should I say and ask for?

Cuada equina.
Spinal cord compression.

It's a medical emergency if the onset is sudden.
