Anyone around to help an idiot and her new iPad?

Ok so all good, I've set it up on my own .. first time for everything!
Been going well no issues but this morning I nearly dropped it and caught it while an app was open with the keypad showing.
Now the keypad is in two parts .. literally half the keypad on the left , other on right.. big gap down middle... please tell me it's fixable?

All you have to do is tap on Settings, tap on General, tap on Keyboard, and then switch the Split Keyboard to off. You should see the keyboard go right back to the way it was originally. There's another way to turn the split keyboard off. You can simply hold down the keyboard button down for a couple of seconds.

Hold down the keypad key (lower right hand corner of the keypad) a window will come up with options, click ‘merge’ and it should come back together.

Fixed.. thank you all so much .. thought it was idiot proof .. obviously not
