A workplace is advertising for two similar, but different jobs. Is it ok or bad form to apply for both?

?

I want to maximise the possibility of getting a job, but don’t want to look like I’m indecisive (even though I am...)

Is there a phone number? Maybe you could call eg HR and ask re what the differences are and whether you can apply for both.

I think it is ok if they are so similar that there is actually little practical difference between the two or, if there is more of a difference, because you happen to have experience in two different areas.

If your CV/application suits one or both roles they will most likely call you in for interview.

Is the application for both to the same person, eg HR? If so, you could word it something like 'I am interested in both x and y job that you have available, and would welcome the opportunity to discuss which would be a better fit for my skills and experience'

Some really helpful ideas here. Thank you!
