how much do you eat in a day? (Calorie wise if you can be bothered)

I'm wondering this as I would like to be at a BMI of around 20 and have a moderately active job, but don't do a lot of exercise.

Thanks

My BMI is somewhere around 19 (5' 2", somewhere between 7 stone and 7.5 stone depending on whether I'm miserable or not - if I am, I can't eat). I'm 49 and in peri-menopause.

Generally, I eat very small portions. Breakfast is either a slice of toast with Marmite, or one shredded wheat. If I had both toast and cereal, I'd feel over-full for the rest of the day.

Lunch is either a sandwich (thin bread) or salady things.

Dinner can be anything, but normally involves pasta. Again, though, small portions.

I don't like chocolate, biscuits, cakes, puddings etc, but would happily eat crisps all day (I don't, though). If I do snack, it's on fruit.

I do drink a lot of a small amount of wine. Plus black tea and black coffee by the bucket-load.

I also walk everywhere and have a non-sedentary job.

BMI is 21 so a bit more than you are aiming for.
During the week:
Breakfast is a bannna and black coffee
Lunch :salad with some carbs and protien (but no more than 450g in total) so 200g cottage cheese, lettuce, tomatos, cucumber and a couple of crackers, piece of fruit.
Snack: raw carrots/apple/ cubes of cheese/ handful of nuts.
Dinnner: something like stir fry, pasta, chilli, curry. Mostly veggie.

At the weekend I have yoghurt and granola for breakfast, a bigger lunch. Often crisps before dinner and a pudding (often ice cream at this time of year)

5ft 2, 7 st 3, bmi approx 19. Aged 30, 3 kids.

Very rarely eat breakfast. Snack lots at work, get through packets and packets of crisps. Tend to have one big meal about 7pm, usually home made and a big portion. Lots of full sugar coca cola, at least a 1.5l bottle a day. I do no exercise.

I don't always think these threads are that helpful. I know my diet is very unhealthy and not something to aim for. It's an accurate picture of the diet of this person with a bmi around 20 though.

BMI=21ish. Age 51. Sedentary job & same height as OP. Plenty of flab.

Calorie intake daily ~ 2300-2500.
Fitbit says I do about 100 active minutes/day.
I struggle to eat more than 1400 kcal/day if I don't exercise, though.

-Finishing a Nutella jar & planning 2 hours of kayaking later.

Thanks all - I know there's a lot of variables but I find it helpful for the general picture
