DS1, ages 14, keeps fiddling with his nose

Squashing it. Pulling it. Squeezing it.

It looks very tender, sore and swollen.

I've asked him why and he says to leave him alone.

His nose is very normal.

It's like a compulsive behaviour.

Anything I can do to help him not focus on his hooter?

Does he sufer from allergies - my nose has been very itchy from hayfever in the last couple of weeks - the pollen count has been very high. maybe try him with an anti histamine.

if you think it is a kind of compulsion, could you give him something else to fiddle with instead - a fidget spinner or something ?

Oh and of course the obvious - are you sure he's not sniffing anything he shouldn't be - has he shown any other changes in behaviour ?
