I'm completing a form at the moment and it states between this date- to this date did you get x for the whole of this time.

I did get x for some of the time.

I'm confused; does the whole of this time mean the entire time between date-date or do they mean if you got x for some of the time you have to say yes on the form?

the entire time between date-date

That's how I understand it. Is there a space at the end for additional information? If so, you could write 'Regarding question 4, I was awarded xxx for the period of date-date. Please contact me if you have any further questions', just to cover all bases.

Very badly worded question, are they any notes to clarify, either with the form or online. If not can you call and ask for clarification.
