MN recommendations to stop between London/Herts to Norfolk?

Looking for MN wisdom - driving tomorrow with 4 children & 2 adults from N London/Herts to Norfolk and looking for a good brunch or if we don't leave as planned lunch spot?

Any recommendations that would be a perfect midway or
Just before stop welcome we are heading to north Norfolk Cromer way?

Thanks -

Thetford forest has lovely stops, look out for the roundabouts and centre parcs.

We like the Barton Mills pancake and waffle shack on the A11 Northbound at the five ways roundabout at Barton Mills IP28 6AE. It’s on the same site as the ESSO Garage and Ambulance Services.
If you want somewhere to have a leg stretch and for the dc to let off steam, then it’s got to be High Lodge www.forestryengland.uk/highlodge It’s got the best adventure playground for miles!

Ely is nice for a wander. Beautiful cathedral. Nice walk along the river.

Although it's a chain the outdoor upstairs/roof terrace of Prezzo faces the cathedral directly which is lovely.

There are several cafes by the river in Ely. It's likely to be busy with the Folk Festival on - there's a morris dancer parade in the market.
