Would you eat this bolognaise?

Completely forgot to put the bolognaise sauce I made yesterday in the fridge last night. It’s been out, uncovered, till about 7 this morning. Am I going to have to bin it?

I would eat it 🤷🏼‍♀️

coffeeaddiction · 11/07/2019 07:41

Just make sure you re-heat really really well

AltheaVestr1t · 11/07/2019 07:42

Yep.

I'd eat it. It wouldn't have occurred to me to think about not eating it.

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 11/07/2019 07:56

Uncovered? No I probably wouldn’t.

NoSauce · 11/07/2019 07:57

No not if was uncovered.

lancaster · 11/07/2019 07:58

Would eat it without a thought.

LoafofSellotape · 11/07/2019 07:59

It was really warm here last night so no I wouldn't especially if it's not covered as well.

BuildingQuote · 11/07/2019 08:00

Unless you’ve seen a fly in the kitchen (I’m about funny about if it had landed on it!) I would definitely eat it especially as it was only made yesterday.

ceeveebee · 11/07/2019 08:05

I’d eat it! But I have low standards (but am never ill either...)

nobreakfastforme · 11/07/2019 08:21

Uncovered with meat in it? No.
I had food poisoning as a child, it was horrendous.

CremeEggThief · 11/07/2019 08:23

I do this all the time with veggie versions. Even in the height of summer, I leave leftovers in the pot on the hob or in the oven for the next day or even the day after, on occasion!

Not sure if it has meat in it though.

SamBeckett · 11/07/2019 08:26

If eat it, just heat it very well and discard any leftovers.

StealthPolarBear · 11/07/2019 08:29

Creme egg but uncovered? That's what would bother me

FoxSquadKitten · 11/07/2019 08:54

I’d eat it! But I have low standards (but am never ill either...)

Same here

Grammar · 11/07/2019 08:57

Eat it, heat it up well, forget about flies, they land on fruit, clean cutlery, bread, anything.
Heat up well, discard leftovers, you'll be fine.
I too eat anything and am never ill, as far as I know, I've never caused food poisoning in my family, either.

IncrediblySadToo · 11/07/2019 09:00

I wouldn’t eat it

...but I’m vegetarian!🤣

I’d probably eat it (if I ate meat) after heating it really really well, but I wouldn’t give it to the kids or elderly or visitors etc.

cremedgg vegetarian meals can be even worse than meat ones!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 11/07/2019 09:05

I frequently leave leftovers on the hob overnight as other posters have, as long as it's thoroughly heated it'll be fine.

Jellycat1 · 11/07/2019 09:07

If it had been covered and the room temp was normal definitely yes. Uncovered no i couldn't. Just in case someone is hiding in there! But then I'm pretty squeamish!

Lllot5 · 11/07/2019 09:09

Not if it’s been left out uncovered I wouldn’t.

EleanorReally · 11/07/2019 09:32

boil it up before you eat

tkband3 · 11/07/2019 17:28

Hmm, am thinking that maybe I shouldn’t use it as it was uncovered. What about if I freeze it and use it another time?
